Bernd Leno says Arsenal have the quality to score but considers building a solid record is more crucial for the Gunners.
Arsenal have taken seven points from their opening four Premier League games but have struggled.
Leno was guilty later parrying a shot from Erik Lamela of allowing Christian Eriksen a simple tap in during Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.
Harry Kane added a second from the penalty spot but Arsenal fought to secure a 2-2 draw thanks to goals.
«We know about our personality but also about the quality,» stated Leno. «The 3 players up high, with [Nicholas] Pepe also there today, we have quality.
«They could score the big chances but also score from nothing so the other teams consistently understand and have to bear in mind that we’ve got a lot of dangerous players and that gives us big confidence.
«You can see the game against Liverpool, we had just one or two opportunities to score if it was 0-0 so we could score with our caliber at the top three.
«We can score against everybody but I feel that the key is the equilibrium with the defence because ultimately that’s the most crucial thing.»
Leno believes he responded well to his ancient mistake at the derby, which may have ended in triumph for Arsenal had Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ late goal never
«I believe that the very first goal was a tiny bit unlucky,» he explained.
«I could not grab the ball entirely and then I attempted to get up however Eriksen scored, it had been unfortunate but that is the lifetime span of a goalkeeper.
«For me personally it was like the team, I needed to stand up. It is not a big problem just because we surrendered a goal, I had to remain positive and I thought after I did an excellent job.»
Tottenham have finished over Arsenal in the last few seasons but Leno believes Sunday’s outcome proves Unai Emery’s side can find the better of their opponents this time round.
«Today we showed we are able to play much better than those,» he explained after the game.
«To be truthful in the first half of you saw the caliber of Tottenham again it’ll a quite difficult fight before the conclusion of the season and then we will see who will be better»
